“The judge considered Mullen’s misbehaviour was serious, but he decided it would be unjust to imprison him”. Wtf lol

Seriously, this country is a dump, this leniency is so common!

Nolan is the biggest threat to the safety of people in Ireland

    4. Whatever about the actual victim’s physical injuries, those kids had some psychological trauma inflicted on them over nothing.

FFS stamped on the victims head when he was on the ground. That’s attempted murder.

Not to mention them children will be traumatised FOR LIFE. That’s real damage.

Martin Nolan needs to be removed from the bench.

Went to school with him and played football. Sound lad but always had serious anger issues.

The criminal justice system’s of the UK and EU are in a really bad way, not enough police, not enough prison spaces, and a real disconnect between what the public want, in regards to sentencing and imprisonment, and what the judiciary do.

Its so consistently demoralising, completely eroding public confidence in the rule of law, that I really question if its accidental. Do they not understand where this leads? A lurch to the right, to the hard man who’ll solve the problem with a hangman’s noose.

Or are we all suppose to give up, just accept that violence is a part of life?

      Extremely lenient sentence: Yes

      Judge Nolan: Yes

      “Mitigating” circumstances: Yes

Everyone agrees the criminal is lying/self serving: Yes

Judge describing the criminals behaviour as “serious” but still not serious enough to warrant punishment: Yes

Violent scumbag allowed out on the streets: Yes

Ahhh the Irish “justice” system….sure isn’t it great. Best country in the world to be a violent criminal/rapist/paedo.

Scumbag should have been jailed, should be appealed.

This country is frightening. Where’s the deterrent? Doing something like this should fuck up your life for a few years and give you the chance to think about what you’ve done.

Here what the actual fuck is Nolan doing. Like if you’re a violent prick or a pedo, it’s a slap on the wrist and a promise made to not do it again. If it’s a 25 bag you’re a menace to society.

If it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck and walks like a duck…..then it’s probably Nolan.

The victim, and each of the children who witnessed this, should sue him for injury and lifelong trauma.

Ireland is known for being one of the safest countries, but with all the news I’ve seen on here it seems many judges are far too soft on serious crimes. Any thoughts?
