They don’t call us “Treasure Island” for nothing

I got filements from Bambolabs and Sainsmart over the last few months. Both were delivered in a couple of days and were about half the price.

Edit. Bamboo has a better range while sainsmart had good offers for bulk buys. Some of the spools from Bamboo were only 800g.

It’s like that for pretty much everything.

Anyway all Amazon stores (.co.uk, .de, .fr etc) have turned into Temu/Ali Express. It’s 90%+ just no-name crap that is way more expensive than it should be.

I thought the whole point of Amazon ie was faster shipping but I haven’t found a single product with an earlier delivery date

Different sellers. The UK one is sold by Elegoo themselves, the Irish one is sold by Amazon.

    6. That hasn’t been my experience. The last two things I bought from Amazon (a display port cable and a CPU fan) were a few cents cheaper from [Amzon.ie](http://Amzon.ie) than from .co.uk. Don’t assume it will always be cheaper on .co.uk. You need to check.

    7. Its handy for stuff that [Amazon.co.uk](http://Amazon.co.uk) wont ship to Republic Of Ireland like battery power banks, and for stuff thats over €150 (about £130) that gets stung for UK customs. Other then that, its fairly meh.

    8. It gets weirder than that. If you compare the small print between the two – the stuff you’re getting from the co.uk says it’s sold by Elegoo UK, dispatches from Amazon.

On .ie says it’s sold by Amazon UK, dispatches from Amazon UK.

So for anyone who tries to avoid third-party sellers on amazon – heads up that .ie is going to lie to you.

(I did actually suspect they weren’t the same listing, but they both have the same B0CD7CMSMH stock number)

Pc parts are the same at least. Saw a price difference of about 65 quid more expensive on IE on the same GPU (both fulfilled by Amazon) compared to the UK site. Delivery on UK site is free but delivery on IE site is a further 26 quid 😅

It’s mostly a huge downgrade and a complete rip off. Don’t see any reason to use. It’s just Bezos gouging you and pretending to be local.

You can still use UK to ship to Ireland – wondering if that will keep UK price (I have tried .ie version)

    12. FYI – this sub exists if you didn’t know r/3dPrintingIreland also r/IrishMakers

Buy elegoo filament directly from their website, cheaper per spool and usually have bundles of 5 or 10.

I ordered sunglasses that are 20 on Amazon UK and 32 in Ireland. The UK gets delivered tomorrow and the Ireland ones get delivered the 16th.

I was looking at exactly the same as soon as amazon put a note that we can switch. I have no intention of moving to .ie as most of these filaments are cheaper on the old site. Shame

I was looking for some cheap amateur art stuff (pencils, paper, paints, etc.) and ALL the ones I picked out to a one were supplied by Amazon UK. What’s the point of the .ie if .co.uk is getting all the transactions anyway? I’d still have to pay feckin customs shite on it. I’ll just go to Bookstation or [Kennys.ie](http://Kennys.ie) instead.

    17. Wait, are u telling me, that shipping from the UK of this particular item will not be just as fast as it’s from Ireland but also almost twice cheaper?

Maybe stop buying shit from a parasitic company owned by a sociopath?
