EU should be a bit selfish and this about its own interests. Would an agreement with China benefits our economy? Good, let’s go. Of course I’m simplifying, but this is the point.

We should be imposing heavy tariffs on China, not increasing our trade with them. For example, China will destroy european automobile industry. Tariffs on chinese cars would protect european industry. The question of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is not always applicable.
Who outside of the US would trust the kind of blatant lawless manipulation of the stock market?
Which country would believe anything from the US ever again?
(If treason and insurrection on Jan 6 didn’t affect him at all, nothing will. Nothing.)
They should honestly take this aggression by the US much more seriously. Stop being reactionary. Start and win some battles. Hit hard and have your own demands.

For example
Ironically, we could increase our trade with China with out increases Chinese products in our country.
Americans have spent decades influencing and detering our trade with China, and as good allies and trade partners, we bit the bullet on a lot .
But here’s the funny party .
A lot of our Chinese products are sold to Canadians by American owned corporations who import it from their distributors in America who imported it from China.
Now excuse me as I eat my double tariffed sandwich as we contemplate cutting out the middle man .
I don’t know why it isn’t talked about more, but China is the main reason Russia is still able to fight in Ukraine. If you’re mad about Trump being less aggressive towards Russia, then you should be furious at China.
I see China activated its bot farms in the comments to sway global opinion in favor of them.
