Awful case. Human trafficking scum.
Prostitution I view like a lot of drug use. It has been around forever and won’t go away. Are we better off chasing it into the shadows or trying to regulate it, as they do in the Netherlands or Germany or elsewhere in Europe.
They still have problems in those countries – not everyone is there at their own will. But is it easier to spot those cases when you’ve got a regulated industry out in the open?
Anyway, whatever about that, I hope for the women that this exploitative scumbag has a rough time of his nine year prison sentence.
Certain rural events are big business for the people who are behind this disgraceful crime
Fully consensual sex workers need to be way more vocal on this.
It really shouldn’t be hard to dismantle these OCG networks… sure on telegram you could just use the in my location function and find dozens of escorts and hookers easily. Surprised a big operation hasn’t been carried out.

Another pitiful sentence. That guy should have gotten 10 years. Parasite
It’s certainly time to listen to the sex workers instead of the groups gaslighting sex workers representatives.
There’s some real “oh she doesn’t know what she’s saying but, my religious group knows better” to the current law.
We have regulated legal tobacco products not because we advocate smoking and vaping but because we as a society need to regulate smoking in the common interest.
People have been buying and selling sex for longer than humans have had money, for longer than humans have had language.
Regulate it and make it so it is a legitimate business with legal protections for all parties.
On the other hand if your agenda is one of judgment of “floosies” by the religious right or “men victimizing women” on the feminist left, by all means continue to double down on demonstrably failed policies.
There’s more than a little of the sex phobic old Ireland which tried to sermonize in the bedroom to everybody about our stupid and lecturing prostitution laws.
People will buy and sell whether you believe it right or moral or not, making it legal reduces the scope for abuse.
