    1. And no food standard lowering e.g. chlorinated chicken pls, I don’t want to get as dumb as them – cannot explain that incredible dumbness otherwise.

The US really does need to understand that it does not call the shots in Europe.

This statement doesn’t mean anything. Outright saying that you are willing to give your opponent everything they want is a terrible negotiation tactic. The rules may well be abandoned for the right price, we can’t know what they are actually willing to sacrifice.

EU must urgently start developing and subsidizing alternatives for all American products/services. Until it does so the Americunts will always have something to blackmail EU.

I would even say give them nothing, and if the insist on a trade war instead of tariffs on goods, show them a good time with tariffs on their services and tech.

If anything, they are not doing enough. The algorithms promoting content that keeps you in your own loop of (mis)information need to be outlawed on all social media, otherwise we are all fucked.

Social media need to return to the point where it was showing you everything you ever followed on a timeline. No ads other than for actual products, no advertising of political parties or any other pages/accounts/videos etc.

People need to be confronted with other opinions, need to be watching out for lies and bad actors, propaganda (be it Russian, American, Chinese, whatever) needs to be brought down. Confirmation bias is a weapon and we are already losing the information war.

But I am afraid this person (or frankly, anyone in EU commission) doesn’t understand and/or care about this.
