I not want backdoor in my phone! Keep encryption strong! Parliamento, listen to experts, say no to law!
>Over 200 experts have called on the Swedish Parliament to reject a proposed law that would force the likes of **Signal, WhatsApp, and email service providers to create an encryption backdoor** in their software.
>**Not only Sweden**
>After over three years of trying to pass a **law to scan all citizens’ messages** in the hunt for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) – what’s known as **Chat Control** by its critics – the **EU Commission** just published a **new strategy on encryption backdoors** and lawful data access.

This is basically the same as what the UK’s OSA does.
It’s a dreadful law that is far too overreaching. Allow this law in your country at your peril lol.
That is a very very bad idea. It’s like saying “I want to drastically reduce the amount of people choosing to break road laws”
And then deciding to demolish most roads.
It isn’t a good idea, it is dumb, doesn’t work, it’s totalitarian, and destroys freedom of speech.
Are European leaders just dumb when it comes to encryption? What is this obsession with trying to create a tiny hole that only they can enter?
