A massive, massive blow to our energy targets and in particular to the West of Ireland economy

Well, balls.
In fairness, it was the hardest, most ambitious and furthest from major markets and support. Still a loss though.

Can’t read the article, what were the main reasons for the withdrawal?

Good riddance, bastards slowing down the wind, making the furthest reaches of donegal habitable. Who do they think they are?

Disaster. Another opportunity for civil service planners to slow everything down drafting new fucking “frameworks”.

[thecurrency.news](http://thecurrency.news) takes monetisation to a whole new level. Even their about page has a paywall.
I think they could do with having some sort of free trial. And reduce the price. The website confuses me a bit. Every time someone posts an article from there I wonder do they actually get a lot of people paying 200 quid a year or 25 quid a month (!) for a subscription? Seems like a lot.

It’s not a surprising outcome, the site selection from day one was questionable with so many hurdles in the way for such a large scale development. Funny that they went ahead with their planning submission in January if this was on the cards but external factors must have accelerated the decision.
