That painting is of French troops storming Constantine. At least you got the artist right.
He did do some work during the Crimean war, the siege of Sevastopol just wasn’t one of his.

Fun fact: the Crimean war important for the Italian unification. Piedmont-Sardinia sided with France/Britain against Russia and sent troops that distinguished themselves in the victorious battle of the Cernaia river (Chorna/Chyornaya). Many streets in Italy are therefore named ‘Cernaia’. Because of this involvement, the PM of Piedmont-Sardinia was invited at the peace congress in Paris and he used the occasion to raise the Italian issue. It was the beginning of French-Piedmontese approachment that will eventually lead to an anti-Austrian alliance.
