Faccio molto in cammino nel Pacifico Northwest (US/Canada), quindi apprezzerei qualsiasi consiglio.

    Domande:

TBH qualsiasi consiglio è approvato ma le mie principali domande:

    1. Dovrei rimanere più a lungo ovunque o saltarne uno?
    2. Qualche escursione o attività che dovrei aggiungere o cambiare?
    3. Dovrei prenotare alloggi in anticipo o semplicemente rotolare con esso? Ho un budget limitato, cerco ostelli economici.

Why on earth would you go to Schengen on the last day?

For the accommodations, I’d definitely check in advance for their prices.

    3. For the lake side walk I would recommend Montreux or even around Lausanne. The view is more beautiful imo

    4. Well, these are for sure all the well-known spots on Insta and Tiktok. I as a local wouldn’t do them, basically every corner in Switzerland has stunning hike opportunities which are less crowded and might be much cheaper than the touristic hotspots.

I really like how much time you plan for everything and how you don’t rush things.

      3. Golden Pass is in Montreux-Zweisimmen- so really far from Lucerne- maybe do Titlis, Engelberg, Pilatus or Albula train on that day instead

      4. Take the route via Lungernsee, consider this hiking area too (Brienzer Rothorn, Augstmatthorn, Giessbach)

7/8 can be done in a day probably but depends on what you are planning to do. (I mean Lauterbrunnen-Kandersteg is not far, the Oeschinensee hike is 4h). You could also visit Blausee (the color is artificial due to it being a reservoir but many people still like it)

Now between day 8 and 10 you could think about the golden pass, it is in this area.
Maybe Kandersteg-Zweisimmen-Montreux, visit Montreux and Lavaux ev Lausanne and then go to Zermatt. But this would mean you had to skip your hike at Gemmipass. So up to you.

      12. Village, it is tiny. Not much to see really. But you to relax, maybe take the gondola to kleines Matterhorn if you don’t arrive late.

      17. Sit on the left in direction of travel. If you visit Geneva: Carouge and the old town are a must, the lake too but the part of town between the train station and the lake is really not nice and wil ruin you impression of Geneva.

You do have a buffer day so you could still to Gemmipass, return to Kandersteg or directly to Zweisimmen, stay there and do the Golden Pass and Montreux that day.

      – what do you mean by ‘Schengen’? You are leaving from Geneva or not?

If you love hiking, for another visit, I also suggest Alpstein, Graubünden, SAC cabin tours.

Heh, I like how people tend to be downvoted into oblivion when they ask to review their “regular” holiday plans for Switzerland. Add the magical word “hiking” and everybody is suddenly accepting and welcoming ahah

      Enjoy your hikes!
