      Why did use the “ü” in türkiye but not the “ö” in döner in this article? Nobody calls a döner a doner.

    3. In Germany, Kebap houses have started to officially label it as “Drehspieß” which in English would be something like “turning skewer” after the turning iron pike you can see in the picture.

      But n my rather limited understanding of Turkish “Döner” also means exactly that, it describes the turning skewer and “Kebab” the meat (actual Turkish people can correct me).
