“May be one day, could be a month. Who knows!” -Posti

Contact them so that somebody actually reacts and deals with it.

Seems like Posti’s normal level of incompetence. If it takes a few days longer, congratulations, you’ve been upgraded to Posti incompetence plus.

Posti is extremely slow at the moment. I have no clue either what is going on. But I am waiting for a package and a letter since a week or so

What did customer support say? It’s literally 5min thing that you can do on your phone or computer on their website chat.

    5. What would make this perfect was if the departure country of origin was also Finland

I got a parcel that left the country of origin on the 4/4 and ready for pick-up the 14/4. So far Posti has always delivered for me.

Did you order outside EU? Currently there’s a problem with those parcels.

    8. Considering the news articles of multiple packages stuck at customs… I’d contact them to ask about it, that way they have to react at least.

I heard something about Tulli and Posti having issues exchanging package information, and as a result Tulli cant process the imported packages. Cant confirm though, source is hearsay from a coworker.

      >These men who seem to know my crime will surely come a second time.
      One day more.

      – The current delays are due to missing security information in shipments arriving in Finland by air from outside the EU, which is the responsibility of the countries of origin and the airlines. A shipment cannot be cleared through customs if the required information in the security message is incomplete. Shipments arriving especially from Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore, and South Korea have had incomplete information.

      >– We are addressing these challenges related to missing, legally required information with high priority in cooperation with Customs, airlines, and the countries of origin. Once we receive approval, we release shipments for customs clearance daily. We have also significantly extended the storage period for shipments arriving from outside the EU to prevent them from being returned.

      – In this case, it’s important for the person asking the question to remember the role of Customs as an authority and the significance/purpose of EU-level legislation. Customs is responsible for ensuring that all goods entering the country comply with customs regulations and safety requirements. Finland’s customs legislation is decided by the Parliament. Posti operates according to official instructions and the law—in this case, under the authority of Customs. Posti is not allowed to release shipments without approval from Customs.
