It’s a shame we don’t have any serious left-wing parties (Labour and SocDems being centre-left)

Someone will still be here to ask

“How can we trust this? 🤔”

Sounded like hysterical crap from the beginning

You’d swear with these types for whom activism is a hobby that they actually *wish* they lived in a more heavy handed police state

Their lives are so boring here in Ireland that they actually *want* to be oppressed. Have something to rail against.

Cringeworthy angsty teen behaviour from grown adults

Oh this is really bad, this really harms the cause that the protest set out to do. It’s really horrendous and I am a pro-Palestine supporter. No better than the far-right making up lies.

So when can we look forward to an apology from PBP for spreading these false accusations?

I honestly can’t understand the reasoning behind lying about this.

I would like to think it’s just one looper on a mad one. She should be fucked of the group out and a statement be made.

Don’t stoop to the level of the scum you are protesting against.

      Nobody serious ever believed otherwise.

Will the Dail record be corrected?

I look forward to Deputies [Mairead Farrell](https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/debate/dail/2025-04-01/speech/575/), [Gary Gannon](https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/debate/dail/2025-04-01/speech/596/), [Paul Murphy](https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/debate/dail/2025-04-01/speech/191/), [Ruth Coppinger](https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/debate/dail/2025-04-01/speech/193/), and [Catherine Connelly](https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/debate/dail/2025-04-01/speech/600/) correcting the record….

At least Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire had the cop-on to say “what is reported to have occurred”

An Garda Síochána: notorious truth tellers…

No footage of strip searches does not mean they didn’t take place. But as usual, the general populous will believe what they’re told instead of listening to victims.

I’m sure Paul Murphy will be contacting the Ceann comhairle imminently asking to be provided some time to allow him to correct the Dail record.

Do the guards normally record themselves performing cavity searches in the station?

Anyone will step up from a PBP thread a couple days ago and admit they’re wrong? Lunatics.

      >O’Callaghan has said that he requested the review as it involved “serious allegations” against gardaí and that it was said under Dáil privilege.
      >“I asked that bodycam footage and any recordings be examined, particularly recordings from Garda stations.
      >“Having conducted his inquiries, the Commissioner reported back to me last week in writing, stating that his inquiries revealed that the allegations made by some members of Dáil Eireann were false.

Was this an internal review by the Gardaí? Or am I reading it wrong
