What a piece of work. Love the line “If Mr Carter had paid his taxes and had not dangerously overcrowded houses, I would never have had to write about him.” – fair play to the judge for seeing right through this and calling it out, and some Streisand-effect too. Only question remains though – has he paid what he owed in settlements or not?
Good, it’s vital that the justice system maintains journalistic freedoms where possible.
He apparently lives in Mexico City and as of March last year still owed €870,000. Dudes a scumbag through and through who has ran away from the state possibly to avoid paying the settlement.
He has now thrown more attention on himself by trying to use anti stalking legislation to silence the journalist.
The state should just add him to a wanted list if he hasn’t paid what he owes yet.
