I’d also like to see a map of countries which participated in the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq.

And it was right to support the US there, but now it is time to remind the Trump administration that Europe supported them back then

    3. It wasn’t purely selfless. Europe had a stake in the war on terror too.

Yeah here we thinking we are partners. Now finding out we are cannonfodder and ‘freeloaders’. Feel sorry for the families who lost their loved ones in these asswipes war.

Afghanistan has no ports and its terrain is rugged, so the geopolitical value of stationing troops there is very limited. There was no reason to invest such a long and large amount of troops in it from the beginning.

      Ukraine was there too

[Ukraine has pulled its military contingent out of Afghanistan, spelling an end to its 14-year involvement in the embattled Central Asian country](https://www.kyivpost.com/post/6942)

      >*The Ukrainians were part of NATO’s non-combat mission Resolute Support, which provided training and advice for the Afghan Armed Forces since late 2014. Since 2007, Ukraine was also involved in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), a multinational military mission that was active between 2001 and 2014.*

The only country to invoke article 5 of NATO since inception is the US. But everyone is freeloading according to the US.

    8. Tall_Bet_4580 on

And you point is? Nato stated solidarity and independently joined the USA on its fight against international terrorists. The USA didn’t activate article 5 or invoke it. And yes I served in afghan actually did 3 tours first one under nato and the other two under isaf which was UN mandated which came into effect in 2003. I don’t see you blaming the UN for the following 17 yrs and deaths

Elon Musk is right, compassion is the biggest weakness of the west. We need to stop giving compassion to people who don’t deserve it, who have none of it, who look down upon it. The thing about breaking the rule of law is that, the gloves are off, absolute monarchy breeds communism breeds fascism breeds more authoritarianism. If Trump wanted to be Tsar so much, give him the Tsar treatment, the whole family combo.

Funnily that is what Trump forgot when he was bitching about NATO and that he doesn’t think the rest of NATO would answer if the US asked for aid. THE FUCKING ONLY COUNTRY IN NATO TO ACTIVATE ARTICLE 5. Everyone answered that call.

Another reason why Europeans should not tagalong with whatever bullshit or America wants to start

I love Europeans here acting like it was some charitable favor to the US as if Al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan weren’t also targeting Europe for terror attacks.

Oh wow, look at all of the allies we USED to have…

The U.S. paid Türkiye’s sacrifice back by supplying the PKK in Syria with thousands of trucks of weapons. Thanks America.

    15. Certain-Month-5981 on

But now they are paying us back.
Next time USA want to start war then Nato Will not be included also we will build 10 passenger ship the can hold 20000 people and go to that country and let everybody jump on and ship them USA.
Because every war that America has started , Europe has to pay for in decades with all the migrants that goes to save countries and close.
So we are not payong to Nato, all european countries has paid to much to Nato.

The Soviet Union attacked Afghanistan, gave up, left, and no more Soviet Union.
The US attacked Afghanistan, gave up, left, and …

    17. chris_paul_fraud on

Countries that supported the US in its illegal occupation of a sovereign nation?

    18. Abraham-J on

The USA messed up the world; Europe is paying the price. They destabilised many countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. People from these destabilised countries flocked to Europe as a consequence, and with revengeful motivations. So the US says Europe is taking advantage of them, while the truth seems the opposite.
