The US is becoming more and more like China… at least in terms of pushing their random authoritarian ideas onto others.
Basically, China expects us to pretend that Taiwan is not a country, while the US expects us to pretend that there is no meaningful distinction between social and biological genders. I am not sure which topic is overall more important, or more offensive, or whatever; but both expectations seem roughly equally ridiculous to me.
