Pensi che in base all’immagine sopra posso contestarla?

So you passed the first sign and took a left, exactly as intended?

I am not sure , but think u might get away with it , due to having a UK reg plate. But u should have called the hotel & asked for other directions. Bad idea. But when there is a control u/the driver of the said vehicle will be forced to pay all the fines on the spot.

You counted as local traffic since you stated you had to enter the one way backstreet to get to the hotel parking. Plaatselijk verkeer means citizens of the street, visitors, or delivery and then some services and emergency services.

The only correct way to get to the parking was to continue past the “uitgezonderd plaatselijk verkeer” sign and drive left in the sideroad to get to the parking.

Contesting a fine will only end up losing you more money, if you even receive one to begin with. I’m not sure how fines are handled for UK citizens, but I’m sure someone else can help you with this.

Edit: I am confused as you state you went the other way and drove past verbodsborden. Did you drive past the verbodsbord “uitgezonderd plaatselijk verkeer” or did you enter the one-way backstreet from the wrong side?

“uitgezonderd plaatselijk verkeer” quite literally means “exception local traffic”.

Local traffic, as in traffic that has its destination in that road segment, is exempt from the prohibition imposed by that sign at that location. As you actually had to be there, you didn’t commit an offense.

Should you do get a fine, contest it with proof of your hotel stay (eg bill), you were allowed there..
