Bohdana – maybe not as good as CAESAR, but cheaper and more adapted to combat conditions in Ukraine.

According to interviews with developers/manufacturers, mechanical doubling is used on Bohdana SPG for survivability reasons.

It allows to both boast easier repairability and, when in combat, have backup for aiming and deploying/folding the SPG back for movement, in case Lancet or something else hits it and busts electrics/hydraulics for gun part, but the actual chassis remains workable. Lack of doubling was an issue on CAESARs, which remained paralyzed – and open for followup strikes – if their hydraulics were damaged by nerby hit

Kinda wonder, if next generation of CAESAR might incorporate some kinda backup for hydraulics too, allowing crew to fold the damaged CAESAR and get going, instead of remained pinned and vulnerable.
