Sono uno studente internazionale che studia qui in Finlandia e, mentre camminavo, mi sono imbattuto in questo strano posto: sembra un tunnel o un garage sotterraneo con una grande porta di metallo e un simbolo triangolare sopra di esso. Si trova vicino a una zona residenziale e sembra un po ‘nascosto.

    Qualcuno sa a cosa si usa? Una sorta di rifugio o accesso all’utilità? Solo curioso perché sembrava interessante e un po ‘misterioso in nevy

      Bomb shelter

      Probably have dual use in peace time (storage, practice rooms, sports ..)

      “Walking in Finland”, you know Finland is huuuge? Can you narrow it down a little?

      bomb shelter, in peacetime many have secondary uses as gyms etc.

      Those places can be huge – and I have seen a glimpse of the vast underground shelter and tunnel system under the centre of Helsinki back in the 90’s. What you have had in these news videos and clips is just a small part of a really massive complex.

      Both, most likely. Finland has a stable bedrock and very thin soil. Everything is expensive to excavate, but practically eternal once built. That’s part of the reason why big cities are built in several levels. Underground facilities often house practical instruments for residential areas, like ventilation, data cables, water pipelines etc., conveniently out of the way. At the same time they work as a shelter in emergencies.
