Ciao a tutti, qualcuno ha un’idea di come posso proteggere l’attico qui dagli insetti o forse anche rumore? Miglior costo conveniente (sotto i 500 €).

    Grazie in anticipo 🙂

    1. It’s not meant to be closed, and there will not be a good and actually soundproof solution that wouldn’t involve talking to your landlord.

Netting on the windows (e.g. Tesa’s products) would go a long way to stop insects – noise reduction requires insulation or noise attenuation (acoustic foam blocks etc.)

Noise will be more expensive than insects for sure.

I think installing a door down the stairs would have the same results

    4. Insect: nets at the windows are more efficient and cost effective than segregating the attic from lower floors.

Sound: avoid having large flat rigid surfaces, which wil reflect the sound more, you can hang something that will scatter the sound wave, ideally something that is also decorative like a heavy velvet drape covering the back wall up to the AC split. Spongy/soft marials works best but the geometry is also important (the paper egg packaging are often a cheap sound dampener but is ugly af). The left side of the roof and the back wall will wave the largest impact.

I used to have a similar setup. My sleeping place was up there. My cheap solution to protect the upper space from downstairs was to by a big plywood board and put it on top of the opening. My opening was a bit different however. It was easier to close it with a board than yours, for example my stairs did not have a handrail which would be in the way. However, if you want a cheap solution that just covers it, then laying a big board on top of the opening and put some heavy blanket or cloth over the rest of the opening (entrance to the stairs) would probably be the cheapest solution.

If your main goal is keeping insects out, then I would suggest buying a big moskitonet. There are several models available, some of which for example can be anchored onto the ceiling. You could fix it to the wall over the stairs additionally and then no insects will enter the space from below.

Insulation against noise is certainly much more difficult, and I cannot imagine any possible solution that might cost less than 500 Euro.
