Wow, thats interesting breakdown. Surprise the USA has 10, more than Spain and Argentina. Do you guys think we’ll see the next pope come from outside europe this time?

Uh, funny that Ireland isn’t sending any

Feels strange that the US has so many, when it’s not a predominantly Catholic country.

You know, it’s really not impossible, sure, he was already old and dying, but JD Vance gains a lot from a more regressive pope.
Bevor someone search, the youngest 45, is Mykola Byczok, Melbourne Australia.

They will elect a MAGA pro-Trump pope. The most conservative in 2000 years. More bitter and spiteful since OT jehovah!

Wonder how many MAGA candidates Trump and Musk are sending…

I didn’t remember these many USA cardinal electors last time. I actually only remember 1 back in 2013. Let’s hope they don’t put maga propaganda in place during the conclave. Actually I would love a Canadian or Mexican Pope these days, but we must look at the person not their nationality of course.

who the shit is making these maps? It goes form red to purple BACK TO RED, BACK TO PURPLE, some reasonable colors, AND THEN PINK?? WTF??? Did you graduate the first grade?

Still funny that Italy has a completely disproportionate number of cardinals relative to its Catholic population – only sixth in Catholic population amongst all countries, but three times as many cardinals as the next country (US), and 1.7 times as many cardinal electors.
Doesn’t seem very fair. But then again, the Catholic Church and the Holy See aren’t a democracy, so who cares …

No one from Ireland?

The selection of the new pope is too important to be left on humans.
The next pope should be decided by God and nobody else. Hence, all the candidates should gather and the pope should be chosen “randomly”. This will give the God an easy way to influence the decision.

I really hope the next pope won’t be American… He will support Trump…

Edit: Apparently yes. The first Scandinavian cardinal ever. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anders_Arborelius
