How do I find roomies moving to Germany?

      !housing

Wg-gesucht is mostly for people who are sharing a flat. That’s what a WG is. It does also have places where you’d live alone though. But you’re not going to find anything for October until September, maybe August. And if you’re not in the country yet, then it’s extremely unlikely to find something at all until you’re here.

This is gonna be very tough if you are still in your native country. We have a housing crisis in most cities and almost every landlord or potential roommate wants to meet a prospective tenant first,

A lot of people who move to Germany end up having to go for (expensive) temporary housing when they first arrive, and then start looking for better long-term options once they are actually in Germany.

You’re probably doing the search wrong. In the first drop-down menu, you need to check WG-Zimmer, which would be a room (Zimmer) in a shared apartment (Wohngemeinschaft/WG).
