They want Southern Tyrol to be part of Austria again. We lost that part of Tyrol after the first World War but there are still many German speakers.

    2. Looks like a faction of ppl who want south tyrol and other historically german speaking parts of the austro-hungarian empire to unite with austria again.

idk but ig it’s some right/far right group.

      Seems a bit random lol

Some historical facts, Deutschösterreich was the name of the self-declared remnant of the German speaking parts of the Austrian Empire after WW1, it claimed a bunch of territories beyond modern austrian borders which were mainly inhabited by german speakers at the time. It also desired to join the Weimar Republic. The treaty of St germain ended this by creating modern austrian borders as well as the first austrian republic.

    4. Right wing nuts from Austria, not from Südtirol (the part in red borders) – part of Italy today, since the end of the first world war.

Sill majority German speaking, but the people of Südtirol today have no real interest to rejoin Austria.

They developed their own identity, most I personally know live in Vienna and even then they’re proud of their Italian passport.

It’s only these right wing assholes from small Austria who dream of a bigger more powerful nation. Like it once was… They define their whole identity through the nation. It’s childish in my opinion.

I assume this is about the reunification of South Tyrol with Austria. Both in Austria and Italy (South Tryol) there’s a good amount of people who would agree with that.

Neonazis who forgot that it was mainly hitler how gave up south tyrol and together with musolini forced germans to move to germany.

main reason why still lot of tyrolians live theer besides heimatliebe is that at this time is was quite obvious that the third reich (germany) will lose the war and moving to germany was not a stable decision.

btw: lieber von rom ignoriert als aus wien regiert.
