The timing is just… wow. Like you know not to expect much from foreign powers like the EU and even then they surprise you… JFC… does anybody in the EU have even a shred of integrity? Steps like these just make them look like complete pushovers and a laughing stock. Even beyond Armenia/ns, them licking the boot of a dictator like Aliyev does infinitely more damage to their own reputation than any paltry short gains they hope to make.
I said this before, and I’ll say it again: no one will protect Armenia but Armenians. Morality will never have a place in politics, and our pivot to the West should first and foremost be for our benefit, and it is in Armenia’s interest to do so.
Kallas has always been a horrible ghoul, can’t stand her.
that said, this is not one bit surprising to me.
I definitely think Armenia should further strengthen relations w/ certain European countries (France & co) but the EU as a whole feels like a lost cause at times.
