Domanda sabato seria. Questo annuncio mi sconcerta. A) Perché qualcuno dovrebbe voler sentire l’odore di ciliegie e b) Perché le fette di mela vengono utilizzate l’immagine principale?

“Smell finer than the finest fragrances.” Aye, cos Lynx has always been a formidable contender of Jean Paul Gaultier, lol

The apples thing is just confusing. Maybe it’s a cherry apple scent, to tone down the sweetness? Edit: I think it’s the spritz idea, like a summer cocktail might have fruit in it, to communicate the mixed scent?

I wouldn’t mind smelling of cherries, but then I’m raging queer so you know, whatever. The main thing seems to be it’s gender neutral as opposed to just a masculine scent. I actually really like the premum Lynx stuff, they did one that was black and gold and I think was sandalwood? It was gorgeous.

All part of the plan to remind us we never had it so good as we did with Lynx Africa which will return as a premium flavour.

I’m going to blame AI, not with any specific evidence but because it feels like a likely culprit.

I guess this is what happens when you let chatGPT design your marketing posters.

      Apple slices portraying cherries!

Some focus group has finally realise that young wans like the smell of cherries/apples, so they figure they’ll also like young fellas that smell like cherries/apples.

It’s the new Good Will Hunting marketing strategy: “How do you like them apples?”

All the more baffling because it doesn’t actually smell of either of those things. Source: bought it on Clubcard offer and don’t smell of either apples or cherries

    9. The ad clearly works, you just looked and thought about it. You even did free advertising for them on reddit. Think how many more people who saw your post will now buy this

I wish they had Lynx Bacon or Lynx Petrol or Lynx Fresh Cut Grass or Lynx Fresh Baked Bread…

Cos it gets people talking and they get free advertising from people posting it and asking..like here on Reddit 😂😂.

Probably for those who like the smell of vapes and it looking like apple slices could be because they used them as an alternative to try get it to look similar in the same way ice cream adverts actually use mashed spuds to look like ice cream

Funnily enough, the shower gel doesn’t smell that much like cherries

I want an explanation for the drawn out e and r letters ? when I first saw the one up by me I thought it had been pasted up badly ha

People often desire to smell like sweet flavours, especially fruit, I don’t know why that would seem strange to you.

    16. I’m gonna guess cherries are “feminine” and apples are “manly” in marketing world

Honestly I’m delighted to see fellas shower gels getting actual scents and not just “cool ice” or “diesel genocide”.

People wear Lynx because they are taken by the marketing and advertising, they no nothing about what it smells like.
Years ago Old Spice was not associated with young people, now with cool ads young people buy it

Tom Ford makes unisex fragrances, a few of which are cherry based so it’s probably to do with their popularity the last few years

put it like this would you rather smell of Cherrys or BO

      there’s your answer

    21. ItalianRimBreaks on

Don’t think you’re the target audience. This is the same old Lynx brand trying to attract today’s young audience who now have their bedroom shelves covered in accessable ‘designer’ eau de toilette (aftershaves).
