Bear in mind before flipping out that there is no realistic European alternative. The only missile we make with the same range is France’s MCDN which is not integrated to the Mk41 VLS cells on Dutch warships
Sad but at the current moment in time potentially unavoidable. It’s a reminder that we need to develop our own capabilities in this space (well, not develop but continue to refine and improve). We more than have the capability already, we also need to start attracting critical talent to Europe disillusioned by the Trump regime and put ourselves in the more commanding position.
Bear in mind that on these things there is still a significant amount of inertia and these situations will not change for years and even decades in some cases. The shift is slow but the pieces are moving, and by the scale of these geopolitical shifts already, they are moving at a supersonic pace.
The Dutch made a good call.

Likely cheaper to bribe the Russians officers to blow up what ever the target would be.
Regardless, it’s a good investment. Since Netherlands are not likely to invest their money to increase their army size, this kind of system capable to project power 2500 km from a ship is very welcome.
