The current Administration has no clue what respect even means. As a proud Canadian the only good thing I can say about their current administration is I have never in my life seen Canada so united. It has forced us to realize how badly we need to cut ties with the US
Great move. But Greenland needs its politicians to go further if it really wants to prevent the USA invading. It needs to request a proper number of Danish troops come to maintain a permanent presence.
Right now the number is about 10 soldiers. It would need a lot more to actually train a civilian reserve and fight a u.s. invasion. Of course they wouldn’t win. Their job would only be to resist and fight. Because the only thing that might stop a u.s. invasion in the first place is creating the necessity for the u.s. to be seen to kill innocent people defending their land from a coloniser. And I say “might”.
Greenland isn’t and shall never be American if the people desire so
Funny how fast the “we need to get independent from Denmark” talks died when they found out what being independent means.
Let’s say the US were to buy Greenland, well, it would bankrupt itself and nobody will help because they pissed the rest of the world off
