Shocking stuff altogether
Ah, includes booking fee. How nice.
Sure the arc is a better cinema anyway
Oh well, it was nice knowing them..
I think reason there doing this is becuase on weekend the cinemas are more packed on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays to the charge more becuase more people would watch the films
Just checked, this doesn’t really affect me with the myomnipass subscription, still a bit annoying though its just going to mean loads of dopes booking the cheap seats and moving into the more expensive seats leading to unnecessary confrontation with entitled idiots in the wrong seats.
Vue have been doing this for awhile
Ya I seen this as well and complained on their most recent instagram posts but they deleted the comments. They are also now charging Omnipass members who pay a monthly subscription to book the green and orange seats. The price can be up to an additional €10 for one film which is disgraceful. I’ve cancelled my membership as a result. It’s not worth it anymore.
Well…I know where I’ll be getting my entertainment…

Interesting idea… I would gladly pay a premium to sit at the back without kids (under 25’s), assumably buying cheap tickets, behind me messing and making noise!!
Jaysus, and they’re all the same type of seats. Went to a cinema in Belgium and they had “premium” seats but it’s a double seat (for couples I guess), with a table either side and spaces to put coats, bags etc. In that case I can totally understand paying a few bob more p/p, but this is crazy.
Another reason not to bother with the cinema anymore 🤦♂️
Omniplex only show crap anyway.
I don’t mind this, shit seats should be cheaper than good ones.
Im never going to omniplex again.
Odeon have been doing this for a while now too. Sure it’ll be their own foot their shooting.
Don’t fancy spending money to go watch a movie with a load of wankers who have the attention span of a goldfish and can’t put their phone down for 5 mins.
I’m not sure if it’s “dynamic” or more tiered pricing. Haven’t cinemas always had preferred seating locations as more expensive? And also had Fridays and weekends as more expensive?
I haven’t been to the cinema in years. I have a great setup at home and I don’t have to listen to other people behaving like pigs as I watch a film.
are you sure thats not an additional booking fee?
Circling the drain at this stage
As if having crappy seats, crappy screens, dirty floors, people talking or on phones, children running around, overpriced food and booking fees wasn’t enough to turn people off the cinema.
I don’t go to the cinema often but I’ll be avoiding going to Omniplex
Massive yikes. Cinema is already mostly empty. Will just buy a cheap ticket and sit where I want.
They need to stop with this sort of carry on. It’s ridiculous price gouging of loyal customers.
Hmm those prices look lower than my local omni. Usually it’s 14€ for an adult there.
Yeah just checked my two nearest Omnis and one has +1€/+2€ for back/middle, and the other is +2€/+4€!
I seen this and took my eldest to see dogman in craigavon omniplex Easter week and it cost £1.95 each. I didn’t complain
I used to love going go the cinema but the whole thing is ruined now. People on phones full brightness, talking, wee kids acting like eejits … not worth it.
Wow, thats ass. Well after gate at north main street has been refreshed, and they offer cheeper Tuesdays. It become my number 1 cinema. Omniplex use to have similar offer in a past. Seems they are going wrong way
Buy the cheapest and just sit in whatever empty
I haven’t seen a full cinema in years
Ireland is rip-off. I can get reclining seats here for 8 euros via my bank deals. Free popcorn refills too.
Movies@ stays winning.
Makes sense to me, they had to raise their prices given the drop off of blockbuster movies that bring people in. This is better than an overall increase.
The odd time I go I’d rather pay a bit more if it meant I’m not sitting beside a gang of teens and increased pricing keeps them away.
I’ll stick with odeon limitless, 14.99 a month to go as much as I want
Is this new for that cinema chain? I know
Omniplex, but they’re not near me, so I’ve never been. My local cinema used be a UCI, then an IMC, and now one of those Movies @ chain, and they’ve all utilised this. I’m kind of used to it, but it’s not a practise I like.
There biggest issue is no movies being made are worth going to the cinema for.
That is absolutely crazy indeed. People may now just figure I will stick with Disney+ and Netflix going forward.
Am i the only one that thinks this is a good thing (not the price increase but the fact that different sears have different prices
I seem to be doing well without cinema
Guess I won’t go there anymore.
Jokes on them. Fourth row middle is my ideal spot so standard super saver is perfect
That’s grand stuff, because if I’m in the business of buying the most logical seats for quality vs price, I’ll be enjoying the comfort of the couch at home with streaming.
I think we should short the front row, buy the dip and then invest in popcorn
That’s not dynamic pricing you clown. Cinema has a tough time as is without this shite. The pricing is basically the same there are now just cheaper options available.
