Ok can someone explain to me why are people protesting?

The tyrant Erdoğan and his corrupt Kleptocrats sleep uneasy knowing that the tide of Kemalism creeps ever closer to their stolen Palaces. They sleep uneasy knowing that the starving, the wounded and the oppressed have rallied against their tyranny, their incompetence and despotism.

To what extent are these tyrannical leaders a disgrace to humanity? While protests break out across the nation, they imprison their opponents, destroy the economies we worked so hard to build, and hide in their luxorious palaces. They frequently threaten to put critics in jail or worse. They repress ideologies they merely disagree with and violate the very constitution they sweared to defend. They restrict people’s ability to use the media to access and share information.
The world might be a good place to live. We will only be here on Earth for about 80 years before we die. However, these narcissistic tyrants appear determined to ruin everything positive about life. Politicians are frequently the most powerful individuals with the least accountability in nations like ours.
I hate this Erdogan so much because how many millions of people did suffer because of him

I wonder if they are gonna make it home safely. Protesting dictators is dangerous.
