> “Mtavari Arkhi’s” television broadcasting has officially come to an end today.
> For 5 years and 8 months, the most important part of this journey has been you—our viewers, the Georgian public, and the values that unite us all. These values have brought us this far; values that, if deepened, will ensure that we remain not only part of Europe but also a dignified member of the global community—and help us survive. These are the same values that “Georgian Dream” relentlessly attacks and gradually destroys.
> We fought hard as well. From the very beginning, our channel’s existence was not easy. We faced many challenges that most would not have endured. We had many successes, and we were not immune to mistakes, but even during the hardest crises, we never stopped striving to correct them and improve the channel. Over the years, we came close to shutting down more than once, but through the personal sacrifice, dedication, and loyalty of each “Mtavari Arkhi” employee, the support of ordinary people and our partners—sometimes through your donations of a single lari, or simply your encouragement—we survived every time and, against all odds, maintained our position as Georgia’s most influential and highest-rated critical television channel. Often, even we were surprised by our own perseverance and achievements.
> We truly endured the impossible. But, as so often happens in Georgia’s history, our fortress was breached from within—the external enemy could not defeat us. What destroyed us was the betrayal of someone who once helped us build these unbreakable walls. One of our own co-founders, driven by personal goals or revenge, led “Mtavari Arkhi” to its closure—delivering a great service to the Russian regime.
> At this stage, only our digital department—social media and the website—continues to operate. We no longer have the means to sustain television broadcasting.
> Thank you for watching us and listening to the “Mtavari Arkhi” team, which kept working for you at any cost. Whether on screen or behind the scenes, we will continue to fight with the same values, and wherever we may be, you—the Georgian people and our beloved Georgia—will always remain what matters most.
