I’d like to know what the deal is with Shannon ATM, it wasn’t till after the “War on Terror” that the allegations about the POW came out, we knew about the troops and some armaments but it was several years later that it came to light that allegedly Shannon and a few other European Airports had been used to transport POW via CIA rendition flights who would later be tortured in cruel and unusual ways in breach of the Geneva convention.

Before I get accused of tinfoil hat stuff the allegations are serious enough that both the UNHCR and an EU Parliament Comitee on Human rights are still investigating Ireland for alleged Human rights abuses in relation to same.

I don’t think driving a truck into a fence is very effective but I do think our Government should be vigilant of what is transported through our country and by whom and until they do we can STFU about our pretend “neutrality”.
