Because they’re not actually hiring. They just have a job posting to make it look like they are hiring so it looks like they are doing well financially. Canonical has literally had the same job postings up for over two years.

I’ve seen many companies doing this especially on LinkedIn. HR people and departments feign as they are the most hardworking departments and most busy people and what they actually do is sit and do nothing. Once I saw HR recruiter watching movie on PC on her phone during office hours.

It’s called keeping the pipe hot. Not only Nokia but every company do that, GE, ABB,.. You name it. And they can get away with it because there is always people who want to get in.

There is propably thousands of applications untouched.
Its just marketing, to have visibility to company, they are really not hiring

Or they are waiting for an exceptional application.
Seems like your application simply doesn’t stand out enough.

Not only Nokia company, it’s every where in Finland nowadays, even for some cleaning companies, they have been posting clean job at the airport everyday as new post In LinkedIn,
And i have been applied more than 10 times and no response, they just laying and playing with people because they know alot of people are jobless in finland and they just want do that as marketing but they don’t care about the people feelings
