An infantryman from the Khyzhak Brigade, call sign Vepr, hadn’t contacted his beloved for two weeks. The girl learned through his commander that he had been wounded. Wanting to support him, she wrote a heartfelt letter, which his brothers-in-arms delivered by drone to his position in Toretsk.
The letter deeply supported the defender, who kept it in his pocket and reread it several times a day.
This touches my heart and soul. Stay strong, y’all.

This is the difference between Ukraine and Russia. In Ukraine, the soldiers, the people and the leaders of the country actually care about and support each other. In Russia they shoot injured soldiers to save resources and throw them into meat-wave assaults because no one cares what happens to them, least all of their leaders.
I hope this hero will return safely to his girlfriend, when Ukraine is safe again.

This reminds me of a modern day WW2 sweetheart letter, I own a few because I love history but also because I’m very sentimental. So lovely. I only hope my own boyfriend would love me like this. Slava Ukrainii!
