What has Europe done to Trump to deserve such a badge of honour?

    2. SorbetExpert1704 on

… What are they celebrating then? Just the Pacific front? I doubt they know this but the UK and the Netherlands were part of that too…

Seeing as he sat out the only war he was eligible for with a terminal case of **Bonespurs**, I don’t think anything Trump says carries any weight in this matter.

Thank heavens, at least our erstwhile politicians do not have to waste time on an event with the Orangutan.

Americans really believe they won WWI.
I once had a few educated Americans telling me that. When I showed them the numbers showing more Canadians and Anzac soldiers died fighting and that their number was a detail compared to European casualties they wouldn’t shut up.

When I showed them proofs by historians that their military was underequiped and had to fight with French weapons, only then did they start to realize we really have a different take on history.

Should send a message about what should be done with that $50B trade offer.

    7. The complete and utter disrespect for those men that served, and died. The arrogance of such a dim-witted buffoon leaves me, as a Brit, with a deep sense of disgust and betrayal.

Words cannot begin to describe the feelings that have suddenly come over me, reading this piece, then this oaf’s ‘Truth Social’ post.

Again, more disrespect to the sacrifices others have made (Europe, Canada, ANZAC, etc) and it’s a slap in the face to everyone. Is there really no check on US exceptionalism? I mean at least they are securing their own demise as I don’t know how long their country can go on making these decisions which are to their detriment. Not just to their detriment but catastrophically harmful in a multilayered way. I can imagine those chickens are coming home to roost soon.

Deleting history and replacing with narrative that to suite them is something dictators do.

Might as well celebrate their victory in the Franco-Prussian war of 1870, also.

When you think you’re a tough guy genius rewriting world history so everyone can bow down and worship your magnificent strength but actually everyone outside of your cult knows that you’re an inept buffoon.

    12. BirdTime23 on

Lol, really? Just exclude the areas where the MAJORITY of the war was fought? Really?

    13. Why on earth would you forget Europe, especially the UK in any WW1/WW2 related day. The UK/Empire did alot of heavy work in WW1/WW2 & things could have gone alot differently had we not held out in 1940-1941 as well.

Any news on the news “Barely Avoided Defeat in Korea Day” and the “Crushing Defeat in Vietnam Day”?

    15. Extinction00 on

Honestly it’s the media and history books propaganda that is largely at fault in the US.

    16. YoussarianWasRight on

      LOL what.

Seriously, seeing Fanta Führer removing Europe and rewriting history in both World wars is both pathetic and frightening.

Both world wars the US joined late and both wars was more or less decided on the european continent before they joined.

I freaking hate this moron and his administration

    17. Absolute disrespect to the millions that fought and died in both world wars. Also a disrespect to Americans who fought and died hand i hand with their European allies.

    18. AdventurousLet548 on

It’s the European resistance that helped soldiers win the war.

    19. Classic septic – remove all the countries that they’ve never heard of.

    20. BrexitReally on

So I guess the Yanks think WW2 only lasted 3 1/4 years – rest of us know it was 5 1/2 years – even longer for some !

    21. ShotofHotsauce on

But they did virtually nothing in WW1, and didn’t do as much as the Brits or Soviets during WW2?

    22. TassadarForXelNaga on

      Typical

But I put my foot down on ww1 , the americans did squat zero zilch in that war came late when the central powers were already on the back end , and then they act as if they won ww1

    23. bowiesdmn on

Let’s see you survive a few of your impending self-imposed wars on your own then you massive orange ring-piece

    24. knitscones on

Oh he gets history from old Hollywood films?

We can just stand back and let USA defeat Russia on its own now?

    25. sbaldrick33 on

Just goes to show what a fucking simpleton he is.

Even if his bullshit revisionism was the truth, it’s “Victory *in* Europe Day.” Not “Victory *for* Europe Day.”

It doesn’t mark the end of World War 2, either, because there was still fighting in the Pacific. Hence, the other day.

“Nobody was as brave as us.” From a country that was never bombed or occupied? Jesus Christ, seppos are fucking cunts.
