This is very serious. This guy used to deal with Ukraine. He is going to basically work on getting pro Russian stooges back in power.
Of course Pashinyan’s inept politics and policies are going to make his job so much easier. The Russian base, Dom Moskvi, RosSotrudnichestvo, Russian media, are all freely operating in Armenia.
This is very, very, very dangerous. After what happened in Gyumri, and the recent provocation with Aram Sargsyan’s party, it is clear that Moscow is feeling more empowered in Armenia.
What’s more infuriating is that they can say this publicly as if it’s nothing, and we can’t react to it.
The current government doing nothing to the rampant disinformation in the country is for me one of the biggest betrayals to the people, next to letting the formers walk freely. They personally would have guaranteed Armenia becoming a Russian asset again in different methods.
This is a good reminder that Armenian liberation will only happen when Armenians collaborate with progressive anti-imperialist forces in Turkey, Russia, and Azerbaijan.
These oligarchs, be they Russian, Armenian, Azeri, or Turkish, will continue sucking the country dry unless we get organized.
Progressive internationalism is the only way, especially for nations that are out-numbered, out-gunned, and with no fossil fuels.
