I have also seen plates with HH. And why wouldn’t it be possible?

EDIT: Yes, I get the reference, but I’d find it absurd for someone to be unable to use such a plate just because it coincides with Hitler’s initials—though it wouldn’t be surprising.

Given the plate has a St. Pauli license plateholder I doubt this means what it could mean…

Bro though should go to the TÜV though… TÜV is green plate which is the 2024 color…

It differs from state to state. Hamburg allows it. Wouldn’t make much sense to ban it as HH is there either way.

I thought that bigger cities take plates with less letters. Why is Hamburg not just H since it’s the biggest city starting with H?

The rules about forbidden letter and number combinations aren’t that ironclad. Some districts allow them if they have some connection to the driver.

I had a license plate in my hand send directly from the registration office Hamburg. HH-AH . Someone wanted to do something nice to the company I worked for (initials are AH) we send them back because the CEO was uncomfortable with the plate

It’s possible that car is driven by Humbert Humbert. I’d be careful.
