Non mi sono mai imbattuto in due tuorli in 1 uovo prima, e non solo mi è successo per la prima volta la scorsa settimana, ma ora è successo altre due volte da allora.

A few months ago I bought a tray of 20 eggs. 18 of them were double yolks!
Have you checked the box? Farmers breed double yolk eggs and sell them in special boxes.

Last time i had two yokes was at a rave 20 years ago.
I bought a half dozen from Lidl last year and every single one had a double yolk
Like most biological anomalys this is due to genetics, my mother-in-law kept 8 chicks , 7 of them were siblings and all 7 did multiple yolk eggs, the 8th one ended up in the soup

It’s common enough if you get jumbo eggs. They are about my preference when I’m shopping late and all the NPC eggs are gone. In about every second carton there is double yoked ones. Also it’s usually most are or nothing in a carton.
