      So because the court has said that trans women are not women for the purpose of the Equality Act, the sports organizations will now systematically start banning trans women from playing with women. How does one look at the first one and reaches the conclusion to do the second one?

      And the cherry on top of all this… the [previous policy](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/articles/c3vk40xkqy0o) already didn’t allow trans women to compete in top two tiers and only allowed them in third tier and ONLY if they haven’t gone through male puberty, as in, transitioned very young which is now also getting limited or outright banned in many places.

      So let me get this straight… previously, a trans woman could only play with women if they never went through male puberty. Meaning they had no advantages. But that wasn’t enough. You have to ban it for girls who NEVER went through male puberty either.

      Call this what it is. Straight up discrimination against trans people.

      But I thought that forbidding trans women from sports was not because of transphobia, but to protect cis women from being injured in contact sports. /s

      Basically making sport single sex, the same as every other major sports body. And what about 80% of the public want. All they are doing is rolling back an experiment from the 2010s before then sex tests were mandatory in sports to screen for female only participation.

      And this is a breaking news because Cricket is a Number One sport in Europe. Joke aside, I think some research needs to go into the ability to transgender athletes to compete as males/females (Stage of transition ect). Currently there is plenty of hate on both sides and not much science to back up the claims.

      I mean the alternative is you no longer have an actual ‘women’s league’ and it’s open like the men’s category. Effectively erasing women (biological females) from sport.

      Be you, do whatever you fancy, call yourself whatever tf you like but it’s disingenuous to think it isn’t hurting women and girls to include biological males. So many women feel like they can’t even say this fs.

      I’m so glad for the legal clarity and expect this kind of announcement over single sex spaces to come out as companies and organisations rejig their policies

      with all these articles, I’m wondering, what’s the legal status of trangender? how do you get one? do you need a doctor’s approval that you’re trans?

      How do people go from constantly complaining about the far right in europe to parroting their talking points when it comes to trans people

      Good. Absurd that this has ever been in question. Compete against others of the same biological sex or don’t compete at all. It’s not perfect but it’s the fairest system we have.
