      The election should have been a formality. Instead Merz failed to secure all SPD and CDU votes and in the first time in German post war history a Kanzler candidate is not elected in the first round.

      I am happy that he got a reality check. This is so humiliating for him, and it is what he needs to understand that he cannot lead but with respect to everyone else. I think he wins round two
