One of my mates benefited from this grant, it was Phd was partially funded by it, not because of the program rather because Romanian Gov. incompetence.
Thankfully he was able to not rely on this grant, but others were not so fortunate, considering that this was and is one of the fewest **reliable** sources for public research funding in Romania, sadly.

Seriously, all countries should be investing in education, research, innovation, etc. It is insane how economically beneficial such investments are.

Context: Horizon is an umbrella term for EU innovation and research funding, it started in with Horizon 2020 between 2014 and 2020.
