Le notizie hanno dato il via oggi che volontario britannico e tecnico EOD Chris Garrett, Calling Swampy, è stato ucciso vicino a Izium.
Chris era un titano nella comunità di volontariato ucraina, risalente all’operazione antiterrorismo nel 2014. È tornato al lavoro appena prima che scoppiò la guerra su vasta scala nel 2022.
Ci sono persone migliori di me per parlare di tutto ciò che ha fatto e tutto ciò che era. Lo lascerò a loro. Spero che si sentiranno i benvenuti a farlo qui.
La sua perdita è profondamente sentita e lo sarà per un po ‘di tempo. Molti cuori fanno male oggi. I nostri cuori vanno alla sua famiglia, ai suoi amici, ai suoi colleghi e ai volontari che lo conoscevano.
Chris è stato il fondatore e presidente di Prevalereun 501C3 che fornisce EOD, UXO, cure per traumi e aiuti umanitari. Abbiamo in programma di gestire una raccolta fondi per prevalere in suo onore. Swampy dedicated his time clearing Ukraine from the mines that Russia left behind. He wanted to make it safe for Ukraine’s people again.
The importance of what he did cannot be overstated.
