Trying to find a way out of the US?
Looking for sane people no doubt.
Some are genuinely looking for a sane community and alternative governances or just europhiles in general, others are MAGAs just looking to stir up a stink and trying to influence European sentiment against the U.S.

Well I would never criticise someone for being interested in other parts of the world. On social media I’m on Little Red Book and love looking at like in China albeit moderated through the eyes of the CCP.
I watch CNN and subscribe to the NY Times as well. I see myself as a human first before any national or regional labels but I’m fascinated by otherness – I have adhd so I need novelty for stimulus. I am from the UK so the Q isn’t addressed to me but the same Q could be answered when I’m looking at groups I’m technically not part of through nationality.
Want to know what europeans think of things. And it’s nice to see alternative takes on topics.
Just creeping on the ex, hoping that after this wave of profound mental illness passes… if and however it does… that we can get something going again?

They all like “European-Birds” and are curious about their “natural habitats.” I guess…
I’m an American and a Europhile. I visited several countries some years ago and loved it. It was never practical for me to move, unfortunately. Now I appreciate getting another perspective, especially in international affairs and less biased views on American current events.
I like to witness relative sanity during my Reddit scrolls.

In general Reddit is mostly visited by Americans I think. Would not be strange if they snoop in non American subs

There is a crazy stat out there: There are **over half a billion** Reddit users and half of them are from the US. They probably use reddit more than Whatsapp.

The actual answer is that the majority of reddit users are American, and a lot of them are curious about Europe.

This is an American platform
They can’t get their hands of things. Even if it doesn’t relate to them
They learn how a proper continent is lead with proper medical care and 5 weeks of holiday.
Following Europe is interesting globally, and Reddit is mostly Americans to begin with.
That explains why I get downvoted when I start talking about politics, and why every single political discussion **must** give examples from the US (but not from other European countries). It feels like I’m not talking in front of other Europeans but in front of an Introduction to Sociology lecture at an American university.
