Ministro degli Esteri tedesco: il percorso dell’Ucraina verso la NATO è irreversibile

Much as we might like the idea , in reality it is irreversibly blocked for the foreseeable future by the fact at least one member won’t vote for it. Bearing in mind some of Germany’s previous reluctance to ‘escalate’ military equipment and its allowable use ,to Ukraine – do we really think they actually would support NATO membership if they didn’t know someone else will block it. They could be on the path to membership practically for ever.

Trading out Hungary for Ukraine would be a significant victory; Hungary is there to be a thorn in the side.
