Any slovakian want to provide some context to the second paragraph? I can imagine that people in Prague would not take kindly to the statement that the Red Army liberated Czechoslovakia, but maybe it was different in Slovakia.

While the Red Army did liberate Eastern Europe from Nazi Germany, the prople weren’t free after the war. They would only deserve a visit if they hadn’t overstayed their welcome.

If he so likes Russia and their traditions and holidays and mourns their soldiers – he’s free to go live there. What’s the issue? Resign as PM, go to Russia, I guarantee he’d get some high rank position for bootlicking over those years in Putin’s circle and live happily ever after without ruining another European country. I just don’t get it.
