It’s always good to have experience on your C.V

Refreshing compared to the usual denials of any wrong doings by TDs until their past is unearthed. At least he can relate to the issues the country’s up against

Hopefully bodes well for legislation/reform around drugs with past experience.

Now watch him take the exact same approach to this as every other TD in existence. Pretend you care, do nothing, kick the can down the road, ignore the problem and hopefully get promoted to a better committee.

Good – rather that than a preachy drugs-are-bad sycophant.

Genuinely who cares what drugs someone did in the past. Atleast he’s open about it

    7. Finally someone is actually qualified to be a Committee Chair /s

People like drugs. Politicians are people.

Varadkar admitted to using drugs a few years ago and the press absolutely hounded him over it. The media and large sections of the electorate find it completely unacceptable.

Gary Gannon will get away with it as a Social Democrat in Inner City Dublin but a Fianna Fail candidate down in Offaly or a Sinn Fein candidate in Sligo or a Fianna Fail candidate in Wexford wouldn’t be so lucky.

      It’d be career suicide.

Dail Eireann would look completely different today if everybody that used drugs admitted it.
