This is promising and I hope it really is the case, backed with actions if putin continues to attack on the 12th.
However, given the gullibility trump’s team has shown, it worries me that the US ‘side’ in this so far only seems to be Kellog. The below is a fairly sober quote, but then again he seems fairly low on the food chain…

“U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg echoed these concerns, saying, “As President Trump has repeatedly said, stop the killing!! An unconditional 30-day ceasefire first and, during it, move into comprehensive peace discussions.  Not the other way around.”

Russia is hoping to sacrifice long-term stability to gain short-term advantage during negotiations and claim a stronger position than what they actually have… OF COURSE Europe doesn’t stand for it.

This is the right way to deal with Russia, its important they follow through with the proposed sanctions if Russia don’t comply.

I would argue the key to this is to enforce more sanctions then propose another ceasefire and clearly spell out the ramifications of not engaging.

Keep proposing ceasefires and keep increasing sanctions and weapon aid to Ukraine each time Russia fail to comply. There will come a point when Russia knows were not messing about any more.

I get a sense this is what they’re now trying to implement.

Russia simply does everything to not completely piss off Trump.

Turn on the news/Look for news

Trump has to be the one in the limelight and is hi-jacking any progress from yesterday. I can’t write what I feel about that creature. He has completely undermined the European leaders and is back to giving Zelensky orders.
