It is political theater. Zelenskyy did this intentionally. Because he, and everyone who understands this war correctly, predicted that Putin is not serious about peace, or even a ceasefire. So, he made all this noise to then have Putin’s rejection in everyone’s face. To show everyone clearly that all talks are insincere. Weapons and ammunition are what works.

I truly hope EU will respond clearly by providing artillery, air defence and more. As for the USA… I have no faith that this administration will ever grasp that putler was never—and will never be—interested in a ceasefire.
