No doubt the issue is the ‘T’ in lgbt that’s causing the delay. It will, or be feared to, have to be incredibly precisely worded to prevent legitimate psychiatric evaluation falling foul of the law and yet remove as many loopholes as possible to be exploited by those with ill intent.

I was about to wade in with the “conversion therapy is just inane and needs to be banned” argument, but some other people have raised _exceptionally_ valid points about the fact that this is legislation and has to be very carefully worded and also future proofed to some degree in order to both achieve the aims and prevent abuse whilst protecting the rights of individuals.

So there may be a good reason for the delays, given recent legal definition developments and ensuing debates.
