Israeli singer Yuval Raphael, who survived Hamas’ 2023 attack on Israel, faced protests including an alleged throat-slitting gesture during the Eurovision’s opening event in Basel, Switzerland, over the weekend.
In a statement to Newsweek, a Kanton Basel-Stadt police spokesperson wrote, “The Cantonal Police is aware of the incident and has drawn up a report for the responsible prosecution authorities.”

Israel committing genocide against Gaza is the only news worth talking about here.
I’ve said it before; but while soft pressure on israel like this *can* be part of a effective strategy to help in Gaza, that’s not what’s happening.
For that to work it needs to be a point. A clear and achievable plan that Israel can find compelling and buy into. But instead most of this just boils down to ‘we don’t like israel, and we do like gaza’ which is basically just pointless division.

Remember the left are always the ones that love to bring up that old adage that’s some like “if you have 1 Nazi at a table and 4 non nazis at are breaking bread with him, then you have 5 Nazis at a table”.
