He probably feels the same about weekends, and bank holidays, and maternity leave.

Not sure why we need to know about the options of Maltese businessman Denis O’Brien on this sub

He is very welcome to work from his office, whenever he wants, even weekends and bank holidays.

All the business billionaire pricks criticising wfh says all you need to know.

Ah yes, another old fart businessman who thinks everything needs to be done in an office.

He says its causing a “loss of competitiveness, energy, creativity and ideas” , bringing everyone back will only hurt that further.

Actually nonsense is spending millions on office space just to force employees to come in and join remote meetings all day.

Is he going to pay Micheal Lowry to make the government do what he wants…again?

    8. Soft-Affect-8327 on

Dude needs to remember where his millions came from, the first gen of remote workers put the car in his drive…

Following competition rules while bidding for state contracts is “a load of nonsense”

“Ireland’s reputation as a place to do business is at risk…… ‘says he.

Because rampant corruption, bribery of ministers and public officials never put our reputation at risk Denis.

“Based on no evidence, and the fact I can’t micromanage my employees, working from home is the same as hiding in the bathroom at work. Time to put cameras in the women’s bathroom to ensure they’re not in there too long.”

Why do we bother paying any heed to the opinions of millionaires and billionaires who’d sell their own mother in the name of acquiring wealth? Their outlook on life is so far removed from the vast vast majority of anyone to make it almost rage bait.

    13. Billionaire who bribed his way to his billionaire status, thinks anyone who doesn’t want to trudge to work is a lazy cunt. He can fuck all the way off. Also doesn’t he own the office block on Grand Canal Quay, I wonder if that has anything to do with his opinion.

Extroverts forcing others to be in the office simply to keep them company.

    15. Ok, Boomer!!

It’s always auld fellas that have this opinion because they haven’t grasped or fully understand the tech advances rendering in person engagement nearly redundant, in certain industries.

    16. Thanks Denis! Donno what I would have done without his opinion on the matter.

We can all go back the office now so Denis’s property portfolio doesn’t lose any more money

    17. This is a guy who gets way to much airtime and interest in his opinion as he is deemed as he must know or have good insights on work environments and companies.

Ultimately he made his success from scams, backhanders and bribes.

What is he actually managing or running operationally? Thought he just invests in companies for the last few decades

    18. Work_Account89 on

So Denis when do you go to the office? Everyday or just deal with everything over the phone?

Edit: Wasn’t bothered looking going around the paywall to read the article

Translation: my office property investments aren’t performing well enough!

Working from Malta is way worse, at least we are all tax payers.
