Got what they wanted. They knew they couldn’t get it demolished because it was so old so they just let it decay and collapse itself. Now they can finally clear the rubble and build a new fancy office block on it

We need more of these tiny houses in the city to collapse tbh. city is riddled with them, when it should be apartments, apartments, apartments. The real impact of not doing that is that everyone ends up having to live in portlaoise.

Is it only Victorian? The inside wall looks like wattle-and-daub, which would make it much older.

      Who cares ?

Good CIF has finally got permission to demolish I would imagine the downturn in the office market has killed development for a few years. If CIF had nerve they’d start now, plenty of builders looking for work next year and zero grade A capacity being finished after 2027. If they build it, it will be filled.
